5 MMORPG Games That Will Make You Feel Like A True Anime Protagonist

I will admit, when I was picking and choosing between my favourites, it was hard! I will also say this… the list is very PC orientated, but some of these games are available on consoles and mobile devices as well.

For anyone interested in the best anime games for consoles, do not worry as I am going to be making more posts around this soon!

5. Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact is a beautifully designed MMORPG by company miHoYo which takes its inspiration from Zelda: Breath of The Wild. Although it does lack a lot of features compared to the likes of Black Desert Online, or World of Warcraft. This game is available on PC, PS4 and Mobile.

Regardless of the above, Genshin Impact is unique in its own little way and is definitely a game you should try out! Especially if you’re a fan of Zelda: Breath of The Wild!

I will say one negative thing about this game… Paimon is very, very annoying.

4. Runescape

Now, I know what you’re thinking… How does Runescape make me a protagonist? Well, simply put. You are helping NPCs by doing quests for them, you are training hard and skilling up however and whenever. You could say that it’s almost like you’re in your own little isekai adventure. You can play Old School RuneScape (the preferred in the community), on mobile and PC. Currently, Runescape 3 (RS3) is not available on mobile.

The best part about this game is that it’s free. You do have optional P2W things, but really you can choose to play without it and work your way to buying Bonds with in-game currency.

The negatives for me would be the graphics and navigation (which is mostly done by mouse clicks). However, these are easily forgotten when you are out there grinding GP to buy a Bond from the Grand Exchange!

TERA is often compared to both Black Desert Online and World of Warcraft. However, being someone who has personally played all three… I have to say, I am not that impressed by TERA. But it’s a perfectly good free alternative for those who do not want to spend money to play MMORPGs such as Black Desert Online or World of Warcraft! This game is available on PC, consoles and an alternative for mobile.

While the graphics are nice, I have noticed a lot of glitches while playing it (especially on console) and while I didn’t mind as I was having fun… it just wasn’t Black Desert Online.

Additionally, I found it getting around boring – but for a free game, it’s pretty good!

2. World of Warcraft

What was once many peoples favourite, has been dethroned and placed into number two. A game which is still often played by a large community, but nowhere as near as what it previously once was.

World of Warcraft has had many brilliant feats and has trumped the likes of Guild Wars and other relatively popular MMOs.

It has made countless brilliant moments for fans all around the world and bought people closer together!

Filled with magical creatures, awesome skills and shiny swords and armour! Another perfect way to build yourself up into an almighty warrior who defends against the enemy forces! You can play this game on PC and macOS

1. Black Desert Online

You did it, you got to the number one spot! Black Desert Online… A place where every spot is taken. (If you know, you know!).

This game is outstanding in every way possible. It is my personal favourite and I cannot stress enough how much value you get from buying it. It is often found for less than a cup of coffee on Steam and in Playstation sales. You can as of writing this, get it for free on Xbox Ultimate Game Pass.

There are a plethora of things to do, wield and kill. You can understand how it achieved first place! The map is so vast, that you can set yourself to run from one side to the other and it will take you around 10 whole minutes to make your way across.

No matter which one you go with, you will not be disappointed! They each have things they offer and flaws, but who/what doesn’t!
