Lumine Webtoon Review

lumine-webtoon-review-featured-image

A review of Lumine by Emma Krogell. This webtoon caught my attention because the art style is interesting. With that being said, the story is also interesting and makes you want to find out what will happen to the two main protagonists, Lumine and Kody next.

Currently, this webtoon is still ongoing with regular chapter updates. The official English version can be found on Webtoons.

A Small Synopsis

Runaway werewolf, Lumine comes across a witch boy named Kody. From there he is hired as Kody’s bodyguard and is tasked with protecting him. Lumine is determined to become friends with Kody and tries everything he can think of to achieve this… meanwhile, Kody feels differently and does the opposite. After an unfortunate turn of events, they are left to survive on their own.

What Is Good About Lumine

I came across Lumine when browsing Instagram one day and I am glad I did. Lumine is a fun read and a great way to pass the time, a nice and enjoyable webtoon.

I liked the progression of the storyline and how the characters interacted with each other and their environments. It was nice to see that they were all original and unique in their own ways.

The characters are fun and each have their small quirks, which sets them apart and gives them uniqueness.

The art style is possibly one of my favourites, and if I could draw then this is the art style I would like to draw in! Emma does an outstanding job with keeping consistency and you can tell she puts everything into this webtoon.

What Is Bad About Lumine

The only negative thing I can say about Lumine is that it could come across a bit cliche sometimes. But, I think this is what makes Lumine unique in its own way and personally this is a very minor negative and is probably me just nitpicking.

Overall Conclusion

Lumine is a very fun webtoon and it’s only growing in popularity – I really hope it gets an anime adaptation just like Tower of God as I feel it would be very successful!
