A review of Tales of Demons and Gods which is also known as Yao Shen Ji. The manhua is very martial arts orientated and is focused around demons and spirits. It is made by Mad Snail. An overall brilliant read and full of amazing characters.
I particularly love Tales of Demons and Gods and have recommended it to a few of my friends. We often discuss new chapters when they are released and what we think may happen to Nie Li and the gang next.

What Is Good About Tales of Demons and Gods
There is quite a lot that I really like about this manhua. So let me start off by saying that if you haven’t picked this manhua up or are considering doing it. Do it now!
I really like the unique story about Nie Li and I like the overall vibes it gives off, quite similar to Naruto to be fair. I also like how charismatic he is and how much he cares for his friends and city. The art style is really nice to look at with some awesome colour palettes.
I also like the jokes and witty humour which occurs between all characters, it really makes it enjoyable to read and you can’t help but feel attached to Nie Li.
What Is Bad About Tales of Demons and Gods
There is not much that I can say, aside from the rough loss in translation in the first 80 chapters and possibly some recent ones. But it’s to be expected going from Chinese to English.
Just like Doupo Cangqiong (Battle Through The Heavens), Tales of Demons and Gods is awesome to follow and if you don’t already, get to it!
It has amazing characters, an amazing storyline and an awesome art style.
